Black Gamecock exhibits great vigor, multiplying quickly when sited in consistently moist soil. Blooms reliably each year with 4" to 6" velvety black-purple flowers with the narrowest gold signal on each petal. Attracts humming birds and is deer resistant.
Louisiana Iris multiply rapidly grown in very moist to boggy soil, but can also be grown in average, humus rich garden soil if kept watered and full sun to partial shade. Louisiana iris bloom after both siberian and tall bearded irises have finished blooming for the season.
