Beautiful dark purple flowers with bright yellow signal that blooms late spring to early summer. Sword-like green leaves remain attractive all growing season. Excellent for cut flowers. For big impact - plant in group of 3's.
Japanese Iris rhizomes should be planted 2 to 3 inches deep in rich, acidic, consistently moist soil. Never let the soil dry out. They have the largest flowers of all iris and are the last to bloom (almost a month after siberian iris).
