Clematis is the most spectacular of all flowering vines. They require sun to partial shade and grow beautifully along a fence, on a lamp post, trellis or arbor. Clematis prefer rich, loose, well-drained garden soil. In acid soil areas, add 1/4 cup lime into the planting hole and again top dress with lime in the Fall. Their only requirement is cool, moist roots, so be sure to mulch; or add a little color by planting a low growing flower at the base of the plant. Be patient with your clematis. With good cultural practices, the first year the roots will grow down, the second year the plant will appear somewhat lazy, and the third year the plant will go crazy with beauty.

We ship Clematis bare root from April 1st thru November.  Zones 3-9.
